Review: The Lincoln Lawyer

The Lincoln Lawyer (2011)

  118 min  -  Crime | Drama | Thriller

OK I don't quite understand this movie watching that I do. I have never liked Matthew McConahey(Mick Haller), however found him to be quite good in this role.

The movie is nothing new for allot of reasons as he plays a hotshot lawyer that charges allot of money to his clients, in the process also wins the cases.

We have the retired Policeman that helps with his cases, in this one the great William H. Macy plays Frank Levin a retired officer that is also a good friend.

Marisa Tomei(Maggie McPherson) plays his ex-wife the nice thing here is they still have feelings for each other and for their young daughter, so for that they are helping raise their child.

The film also has a group of bikers that work along with Haller as shown in the trailer for the movie he is working for them, but they pay him back at the end of the film.

The real story here is involving Louis Rolet(Ryan Philippe)he is brought in and sent to Haller, who in turn finds that his client might not be telling him the truth.

His mother is quite wealthy and shows Haller by issuing him payment upon their first meeting but quickly assures her that her son has to pay him to make the transaction smooth. His mother is played by Frances Fisher(who still looks great)

The rest of the cast is good as well.

Josh Lucas, John Leguizamo, Micheal Pena,

& Bob Gunton.

Matthew with Micheal Connolly(author of the book of the same name)

As I stated this is nothing fresh at all but what is these days in film?

It is after all well done on all parts

Sincerely

Anthony Nadeau
