CONCERT REVIEW
RUSH AT ROGERS ARENA
VANCOUVER BC
JUNE 30TH 2011
It was a night I had been looking forward to and by the excitement of the crowd I clearly was not alone.
First, we were shown a small clip on the not-so-big screen with the group acting out a scene that had a time machine, and with time they were sent from the past to now and then appeared onstage starting with "Spirit of Radio" off of one of my all-time favorite albums of all time.
| SPIRIT OF RADIO |
The crowd from the song's start were on their feet and would remain there for the remainder of the night when the band was on stage.
They played two newer songs through the night
"BU2B" & "CARAVAN" both from the upcoming "CLOCKWORK ANGELS" due out sometime in the next year?

| PLAYING BU2B |
Neil Peart would do his always amazing drum solo with contemporary drumming in it, then with a switch the riser turned around, he had electronic drums and made an awesome sound with those. Then stitched back and played big-time band drums, Ala Gene Krupa & Buddy Rich, even had the big band sound.

Here is some footage I found on YouTube from last night Neil Peart Drum Solo

Out of the two concerts I attended this week, this was 100 times better all in this saying sums it up best
"Less is More"
The production on both was great however Rush's set was smaller and was more about the music than the set and pyro etc.
Not taking anything away from KISS I enjoyed their show, but LOVED seeing RUSH for the 3rd time.
Thanks for Reading This
Sincerely
Anthony Nadeau
