CD Review: Fozzy -Sin & Bones(2012)

                                               Available:

                                             August 14, 2012

Back in 1999 something happened a new band debuted and some laughed when they saw that Chris Jericho then a wrestler in WCW(a great one by the way)would be on lead vocals.

Always seeming to have more fun than allot of the others involved in the matches, I grew an interest in hearing what they had to offer. Also on guitar is Rich Ward(ex-Stuck Mojo)who helped Chris form the band.

Songs like "Spider In My Mouth", "Inside My Head" and their first release "Sandpaper" with M.Shadows from Avenged Sevenfold show the depth of  a band that is serious about their contribution to the Hard Rock/Heavy Metal genre.

"A Passed Life" has a lighter vocal approach than the other songs, he really shows allot of vocal range on this album."Dark Passenger" has lyrics worth listening to great riffs all through this album. Very tight band if this is for you I am not sure.

Syncing up with the release in August, FOZZY will head out on Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival fortheir first ever US tour and their single “Sandpaper” will also be the featured theme song for the upcoming WWE Summerslam Pay Per View event.  "Sandpaper" also features special guest M. Shadows (of Avenged Sevenfold) and Phil Campbell of Motorhead is featured on the track "She's My Addiction."

A few additional points – FOZZY appeared alongside metal's Big 4 - Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax - at the Knebworth Sonisphere Festival last year, vocalist CHRIS JERICHO was a finalist on the hit television show "Dancing With The Stars" during season 10, and has two New York Times Top 10 best-sellers (both auto-biographies) with FOZZY being spotlighted in 'Undisputed' - which cracked the Top 10, peaking at #8.
