Movie Review: Alien Origin(2012)

Tired of the found footage films? Well after seeing The Blair Witch I was intrigued , then I saw Paranormal Activity and lost interest. I would rather watch the latter as this film is about as boring as you might possibly imagine.

I quite possibly think that the alien that might have been meant to be in the film fell into such a deep sleep that they could not wake him when it was time to shoot the film.

Chelsea Vincent plays Julia Evens she does the best she can with the script she is given, one of the better actors in this film.Somewhat feeling like she is a reporter she starts us on the quest to find the missing Anthropologists.

8 Minutes into the film the group come across a boat in the middle of a field, told by one of the men in the group the nearest water for a boat is about 150 miles from that location.

There is constant and tiresome scenes of the group struggling through the woods that seem to make them paranoid at every step.

When even a slight noise happens they constantly are hitting the dirt, guns drawn at every step shooting at something that clearly is not there-they high or something?

I think if they had tried to put some comic elements in here-that might have helped the film out other than hitting the dirt no one seems overly worried and the scenes that are action packed(!?)the only thing the viewer gets to see is the camera going in all directions, wow that's damn scary!

Here is the trailer for the film:

There is really no point to this mess of a film I have been enjoying the films thus far except for the last 2 films, here's hoping we can have some more good films like "Abraham Lincoln Vs Zombies"

that was alot of fun

There is not enough interesting material here in this film for me to recommend this.

Thank you for reading this

  1. Thanks for reviewing Alien Origin, Anthony. This movie is absolutely perfect for the weekly contest I have with some of the members of my team at DISH. Every week we try to find the worst B movie (or Z movie in this case) that we can find to rent from Blockbuster @Home. I just added Alien Origin to the top of my queue, and I should have it by the end of the week. With the last few “winners” being found footage movies I think I have a pretty good chance. I think the others may have been Asylum films too; there were a lot of shots of people walking in the woods.
