Story Synopsis:

In an ancient age, peace-loving tribe are enslaved by a race of flesh-eating dragon-riders. The young tribesman Goben must join forces with their neighbor giants, the humans, to free his people and vanquish their enemies.

Like many of the films from The Asylum the trailer does not do the movie justice. Where the majority of trailers these days they make a bad movie look good, this and many of their films come across looking really cheesy.

That being said this is a well crafted film and really enjoyable for the whole family, I watched it with my two boys and they really enjoyed it as well.

Clash Of The Empires is about the real-life human subspecies, Homo Floresiensis, discovered in 2003 in Indonesia, which have been uniformly referred to as ‘Hobbits’ in the scientific community."

The likeness of the actors in this film is very high, meaning that the actors do a good job of getting their point across.

This is my first time seeing Christopher Judge(Stargate SG-1-1997-2007 & Stargate Atlantis-2007-2008)and he delivers quite a good performance.

Bai Ling(White Spirit in English) is the other actor that has a long track record for her acting first in 1984 Hai Tan(China)her biggest film to date has been Crank: High Voltage. But she was first given major notice when she starred next Richard Gere in Red Corner. She is convincing in her fighting skills here helping the Hobbits battle their foes.

The Javas are the enemies of the  main characters and they capture many of the people from their village to have a sacrifice  at the next full moon.

Goben(below)and his sister(left)are on the quest to get their mother back from the Javas, with their father helping them(first picture in review)

There are many things in their way of finding her winged Komodo dragons, poison bushes , giant spiders just to name a few.

If you like a good adventure film where there are fresh faces and a decent story then check this film out, I think you will enjoy it.

I miss the DVD's arriving in the mail, so I can throw them in my player and watch it that way, however to cut costs The Asylum now screens their movies online on a secure server that streams the movie, but I plead to include trailers before the films--I(oddly enough)miss that part and the special features as well.

Thank you for reading this

Till Next Time

Sincerely

Anthony Nadeau
