Movie Review: Atlantic Rim(Releases July 9th, 2013)The Asylum

Story Synopsis:

When giant monsters crawl out of the Atlantic Ocean and attack the Eastern Seaboard, the U.S. government is forced to trust A.I. robots to defend the country.

On first glance it was quite clear that there was another film that The Asylum has made that was similar in title but not in script-the other film being Pacific Rim the big blockbuster that is due out the end of next month. The difference here as well The Asylum films(with the exception of last years Hold Your Breath)only come out on DVD or Television.

Graham  Green is the star of the film but the bots and the creatures actually steal that away from him this is one of the better edited films for the studio I have seen and the creatures and the special effects are top notch for the action scenes.

I got a laugh in the New York battle scene as there are countless movie posters belonging to the studio placed right at the center of the action. The action scenes are very well done and sorry but I think David Chokachi(Red)one of the main reasons he was hired as he has an eerie similarity to that of Michel Beihn mostly in the low shot scenes.

There are three of these creatures that create havoc when they arrive on the shoreline and actually stomp on some poor people that get in his way, this is a great romp of a film that clearly has a fondness of the B-Horror films of the past.

Regardless of the comparison this film has and will get -get over that sit down and just relax and the movies will take care of themselves.

Thank you for reading this

Sincerely
