Story Synopsis:
The adult siblings of the Fitzgerald family prepare for their estranged father to return home for Christmas for the first time since he walked out on his family 20 years ago.
Below he tells his mother of the idea.
He then has the rest of his siblings to talk to about the idea of spending Christmas with their father that they hardly know and for the the honest approach that this film has about the whole complex identity that is family there are those that are opposed to his being there, or even the thought.
The characters are so well developed and so real there are many vast issues within this family and really allows the viewer to get an inside glance at this family's ordeals.
The feeling of family is well done by the writing, directing and the actors are cast well for their roles.
This film hit very close to home for me for a good number of reasons and that is why it is easily one of my favorite modern Christmas movies.
The group of actors worked really well together and I will be adding this to my movies to watch at Christmas time.
Sincerely
Anthony Nadeau
