MTI Movie Review: The Surrogate(Released July 15, 2014)

This is a very standard told story that only works really because of the cast the actors are all very solid in their performances and that is all that made this film bearable to watch.Made for the Lifetime Network originally this was your run of the mill made for TV movie.

Story Synopsis:

A married couple, struggling to have a child, hires a young woman to be their surrogate, but soon discovers she has a bizarre and deadly agenda.

Jacob Kelly(Cameron Mathison)-(left) & his wife of 16 years Allison(Annie Wersching)-(right)--hire a recent co-worker of Jacob's from the University to be their surrogate after Kate Randall(Amy Scott)-(middle)-- takes the other surrogate out of the picture(see picture above)

We soon find out that Kate has a mad and dangerous crush on Jacob , dangerous as she will do anything to be with him.

Injuring herself with the use of door she then get's Jacob fired from his job at the University and Allison almost divorces him as well.

There is some really good tense scenes that are shot very well and the cinematography is exceptional for a television movie.

The actors do a very convincing job with their roles even through the end of the film where it almost becomes laughable.

The ending was very abrupt and left the viewer wondering when The Surrogate 2 was getting made.

Thank you for reading this

Sincerely
