Little Shop of Movies Review: The Grand Seduction: Available Now

There are those movies that hit you over the head so fast that you cannot follow what is happening or so much of the modern special effects that over-stimulate the senses etc.

Then there are the films that build over a simple storyline that tells a simple yet pleasurable story.

Story Synopsis:

To survive, a dying Newfoundland fishing village must convince a young doctor to take up residence by any means necessary.

So to bring some money back into the economy for this small town they are on the list for a possible factory in the village, the catch is they need a doctor to sign on to stay as their doctor or there is no deal.

They do some pretty funny things like when they find out he likes cricket they make a whole lie up that the entire town loves cricket and they are playing their final game of the series that day he shows up-they have no idea what they are doing at all.

They also tap the lines when the doctor is on the phone and are quite smitten with his chats with his girlfriend, this is a clean film that the entire family can enjoy together.

This is a 100% film from Canada and also has the charm of a small island town , innocent and yet very smart in it's portrayal of the individuals that reside there.

Thank you for reading this

Sincerely
