Little Shop of Movies Review: The Jersey Boys(Available Now)

There are many artists amongst us that come in many forms , some paint the world as they see others may take pictures to capture that second of time-there are some who have some great way with words , there are also those that take those same words and make them ideas -then immortalize all that into film.

Clint Eastwood has done that once again with this film that shows his ability to show more than the violence in film.

There are ideas that are taken from other icons of film as well here -the storytelling to the camera Woody Allen had mastered this part of film where the characters of the film just randomly talk to the camera.

This is the story of Franki Valli & The Four Seasons that is based on the Tony Award Winning musical of the same name.

Movie making does not get much better than this folks for me there is always the saying "Less is more" that cannot be more suited here with this film , with so many movies competing for the most explosions and deaths this was a nice change of pace.

I have been a fan of Clint Eastwood all of my life and there are very few of his films that I can actually say that I do not like.

I was fortunate enough to get the 35 Years, 35 Films of his for Christmas a number of years ago.

I am always excited for his films regardless of what he is doing next I always await his films for knowing that he can tell a story unlike any other director today.

This is a story that is masterfully told and even though I know little about Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons this was an incredible telling of what could easily be a made for TV movie, glad it was not.

Taking a break on set Eastwood sits and has a chat with Frankie Valli who serves as one of the executive producer as well as Bob Guadio-who wrote the hit songs for the group and also sang.

There are your standard movie cliche's of bands and their times together etc but all and all a great film about a period of time for a very successful band and does not fall into some of the regular garbage that some of these types of films do.Drug abuse and abuse of others is never a topic here.

Thank you for reading this

Sincerely

Anthony Nadeau
