The poster states it well , from the minute we are introduced to John he is already in bad shape but find out in the first few minutes of the film that he has lost his wife to an undisclosed disease.
As a dying wish she sends him a puppy with a card telling him that she does not want him to grieve alone.
A few men he met while putting gas in his car-a mustang, they ask how much the car is -he politely tells them it is not for sale.
They break in one night and help themselves to his car in the process they kill his dog and with that they have pissed him off.This was all he had of his late wife.
One of the men involved on that fatal night is the son of the local head of the local mob. He finds that John struck his son not knowing the details he calls the local "detailer" of hot cars to find out it was in fact John Wick -he warns his son this is the man that you call when needed. His son asks "what is he The Boogyman"? he tells his son "No this is who you call to kill The Boogyman"
Everything about this film works on so many different levels strong fast action , slick fighting, exceptional editing. The stunts and fighting scenes are done by Keanu Reeves and he has been exciting to watch of late,
This is a tough film but delivers the goods like not many have been able to do of late. In the Behind the Scenes of the film they show that he had trained for this part months before filming was ever to take place, hard to find that kind of commitment from an actor these days.
The action is so fast paced and they trained him in Judo and Jujitsu it sure shows by the way he moves -check out the clip above to see some of the action.
This is the best action film I have seen in months -easily one of the best action films in recent memory.
