Independent Film Reviews: Pernicious-James Cullen Bressack Directs

I have been very fortunate over the past number of years by being to see so many films from all over the world also because I know some filmmakers that have some great talent, this one is even better. Let me explain, I have seen a number of films that James Cullen Bressack has directed "To Jennifer" "Hate Crime" "13/13/13" for The Asylum studios also "Blood Lake" for Animal Planet channel. 

This being his newest film however the treat here for me is that this film is not available currently as it is only via Film Festivals across the globe.

This also his first film being shot anywhere outside of U.S.A. it was filmed entirely in Thailand.

Story Synopsis:

It was supposed to be an adventure of a lifetime as three young girls spend the summer in Thailand. But their adventure quickly becomes a nightmare when the trio unleashes the spirit of a murdered child with only one thing on her mind - revenge

Here in this picture they are getting ready for one of the scenes with James telling them what he wants from them.

The young women before they start their teaching to go to a bar there they meet some men who they bring back to their place and share a flask of a drink with the men, but the men do not drink only the women do.

The three of them have some incredibly disturbing dreams all brought on by a drug that was in the drink in the flask.They awaken to all their valuables and their passports being taken. 

   In each of their dreams they each brutally kill each of the men

  above is how they shot one of the scenes with one of the male cast.

There was a good number of scenes that actually had me jump slightly and that is rare in today's horror movie as that is few and far between.

There is also some very graphic scenes that are not for the squeamish for that reason alone I will not post any pictures of those here but can find those online as well.

I hate to tease all of you who might be interested in this film but when it is available I am sure I will find out and will update here as well to let you know how you can get a copy.

This was easily one of the more original horror films I have seen for sometime, thanks James for the scares and the great camera work as well.
