The Asylum Movie Review: San Andreas Quake(Available Now)

Story Synopsis:

When a discredited L.A. Seismologist warns of an impending 12.7 earthquake, no one takes her seriously. Now on her own, she races desperately to get her family to safety before the earthquake breaks Los Angeles apart from the mainland.

I was quite excited to find this in my inbox to review along with Road Wars -which I will review soon.

Molly Dunn(Jhey Castles)-has also starred in some other films for the studio , most recently "Hansel vs Gretel"

She plays the role of Molly quite convincingly and with such strength and good acting that I am unsure that the film would be as good without her in the film.

She has a class that she is teaching about the seismic waves that with the device she has made can predict minutes before when an earthquake is going to hit.

As far fetched as that may seem it is after all a movie and a good one at that-the story is well done, the acting is also good , the music and the editing also help in the structure of the overall enjoyment of the film.

The action scenes are tight and well constructed as we witness a few disasters. This was a very enjoyable film from start to finish and would suggest if you like films like this, check this one out for yourself.

Of course with this being a disaster film you have to have people running frantically trying to save their loved ones, the woman above takes some matters into her own hands when she is desperate to get her and her daughter out of the city before the big one happens.

Even Ron Jantz(above) who plays the news reporter is good in his role , quite convincing in giving us the feel that the big one is emanate. Reporting only the facts and keeping it real.

Strong directing of this film I feel the director had a good re pore with his cast and crew, it shows.

This is one of the better films in recent memory from The Asylum also better than some of the action films period.

The figure to the right in the picture above was one if the better stunts in a film I have seen in a while-he fell over the railing to his right-our left.

All of these contributing factors mentioned have made this film stand out from most of what is out there of late. I watch a good number of movies I don't always review each one but I watch more than most people I know and this is a good one.

Thank you for reading this

Sincerely

Anthony Nadeau
