Where so many films either try to give you gore or scares(which few can do well anymore)along comes Fred Rabbath and his film A Brilliant Monster.
Some really strong writing in this film is what makes this so watchable and the performances are good as well.
In what could be called an extended tale from The Twilight Zone , we have an author by the name of Mitch Stockridge who is very successful at self-help books.
In what I saw as a mix of Little Shop of Horrors and The Shining an author that gets his inspirational stories from a monster in the room.
For those of you that have seen both films will hopefully see the connection. I am not one to spoil films for others.
The film is a deep exploration on the mind and does a great job of building it up and the payoff is good as well.

I can't recommend this movie enough. I had watched the film before but as a refresher I watched it again and actually enjoyed it a lot more the second time around.
We all know all the big budget films that are constantly streaming or in the multiplexes , but this was easily one of the best films I have seen this year. The script is fresh , the acting, directing and editing all work together to create something unique.
