The Delinquent Season Available Today On Digital--July 23, 2019--Route 504 PR

Two couples (played by Andrew Scott, Cillian Murphy, Eva Birthistle and Catherine Walker) appear to live in marital bliss until cracks begin to appear in both seemingly steady marriages. The film asks the question 'How well do any of us really know each other' and explores the ideas of love, lust, and family relationships.

Love is never easy they tell you, growing up and even in middle or old age it seems. We have many movies and television shows that also tell us that. Here is another one to say that even though love is never easy, cheating most definitely will not fix it. That we all know for sure.

The most recognizable actor in the film is Cillian Murphy(above)here he plays a family man married and with 2 children. He is unhappy in his marriage and seeks companionship with his wife's closest friend.

If you have ever watched a soap opera or another film of this sort this is pretty cookie-cutter kind of film for this topic, however, it is the performances that kept my interest.

He goes from loving family man to cheating on his wife and finding fault in all things and find that he cannot have his cake and eat it too, sometimes karma bites back.

Cillian gives a strong and kind of quiet performance that may be missed by some. It is the subtlety of the film and its frankness in some of the scenes that really worked for me overall.

Thank you for reading this

Sincerely
