With six weeks to go until ‘Canada’s coolest film fest’ kicks off, the Whistler Film Festival (December 4-8) has announced its first wave of 20 guests for the WFF Content Summit. Running from December 5 to 7, the festival will welcome over 1,000 delegates to their yearly industry summit. Boasting more than 30 industry sessions in three days, Whistler has invited established industry leaders and creators to the mountains to spark creative conversations about the business and future of film and the ever-changing landscape of content creation in the digital age.

WFF's Content Summit provides practical intel and creative inspiration through meetings, pitches, and networking opportunities while sparking debate in high-level keynote presentations and sessions on topics that range from finance, marketing, distribution, gender and inclusion to co-production and cinematography. WFF’s Content Summit directly connects to the festival’s slate of 11 talent programs designed to provide creative and business immersion experiences for over 70 Canadian artists, including the Producers Lab, Screenwriters Lab, Power Pitch, Indigenous Filmmaker Fellowship, Doc Lab, Women in Focus Mentorship, Stars to Watch and Music Showcase. WFF also collaborates with several industry organizations by hosting initiatives at the Whistler Summit including the Women in the Director's Chair Industry Immersion, Women in Film & Television Film Market Preparation Mentorship, and the MPPIA Short Film Award Pitch with the Motion Picture Production Industry Association and Creative BC.



Additional guests will be announced in the coming weeks. All industry sessions will take place at the Whistler Conference Centre (4010 Whistler Way) and Maury Young Arts Centre (4335 Blackcomb Way) unless specified otherwise. Industry Passes including Industry Day Passes are now on sale, and industry event tickets will be available as of November 5. Sign up for one-on-one meetings with industry executives will be available for Industry Pass holders effective November 12.



From December 4 to 8, the Whistler Film Festival will welcome film fans and filmmakers to experience its 19th edition featuring over 80 fresh films, special guests, epic events, unique industry and talent programs, and time to play in North America’s premier mountain resort. In addition to the 12 films already announced, WFF’s full film lineup schedule will be available online on November 5 with special guest and event announcements to follow.
