Shattered-Movie Review Starring Cameron Monaghan, Frank Grillo--Lionsgate(Available Now)

In the tradition of Fatal Attraction and Basic Instinct comes this dazzling action-thriller starring Academy Award® nominee John Malkovich (RED) and Frank Grillo (Avengers: Endgame). After lonely tech millionaire Chris (Cameron Monaghan, “Shameless”) encounters charming, sexy Sky (Lilly Krug), passion grows between them – and when he’s injured, she quickly steps in as his nurse. But Sky’s odd behavior makes Chris suspect that she has more sinister intentions, especially when Sky’s roommate is found dead from mysterious causes.

Chris is a successful tech businessman who is going through a divorce, one night he is shopping late at the grocery store and meets Sky(Lilly Krug) who asks him for some help in picking out a bottle of wine. She is waiting for a ride, who has not shown up, so he offers to drive her home.
One thing leads to another and she ends up going to his house and they have sex that night, which then leads us to the story at hand.

They go for dinner one night and upon returning to the vehicle, there is someone who is trying to break in, Chris is attacked and his right knee is brutalized with a tire iron.
Trying to be helpful, Sky offers to stay with him and take care of him, he had already arranged for a personal care assistant to help him, but he cancels after Sky's offer.
We, the viewer know that there is more in the works than what Sky is letting onto and she flips her personality when she gains access to his home alarm and other things such as access to his bank accounts. It becomes worrisome for Chris when he sees that her former roommate has been found dead, she tells him it was her.
John Malkovich(above) proves why is still such a current staple in film to this day in his role as Ronald, a perverted old man who is Sky's landlord. He was the one character that really stands out in the film, just because he is always so good at what he does.

When Frank Grillo(Sebastion) is brought into the film, you know that things are not going to be good for anyone on the receiving end of anything he does. Frank Grillo is just one of those character actors that you distinctly know not to mess with, no matter what.
Things are really brought to the forefront and decent plot twists make this an enjoyable and very watchable thriller, this kept my interest from the first frame to the very end.

Cameron Monaghan(Chris) is the reason that this film works so well, best known for playing Ian in Shameless, he really shines here and gives us someone to care for as he has that as an actor and brings the compassion to Chris as he did with Ian.
