The Dive-Movie Review (Available Now)

So there are a few things one thinks of when there is a new movie that takes place in the water, sharks, sea creatures, or something, or someone lurking below. I was prepared for all of these scenarios to unfold at some point, because, why not? Our brains pre-tell us what is going to happen if the film is set in a particular place.

So imagine my surprise when none of the above took place and this is rather just a tale of two sisters who have got together for their annual tradition of going deep sea diving. Just a tale of survival without all of the standard cliches' that we often see in movies today.

The film was shot in Malta, in the Mediterranean Sea and it is a beautiful country from what I have seen in other films.

Sisters, May(Louisa Crouse) & Drew(Sophie Lowe), are catching up on their drive to the dive area.

They have some things that we are unaware of and the issue is never really brought to light until near the end of the film and handled in a way that is easy to understand. There is a rock slide above and the sisters are hit with some of the debree in the water, May is trapped under one of the bigger rocks and her tank is getting low so Drew has to go back up and get the other tanks.

I really enjoyed the simplicity of the story and also that is was not over dramatic as these types of films are so often. It also has some very practical ideas and the outcome was pulled off very well.
