Toronto After Dark Film Festival, 2023--The Shorts

Short, but creepy and to the point. We're at a seniors home and there is a young visitor, who finds a man sitting alone in a main room of the house and decides to pester him and take his butterscotch candy that is on his lap.

What he doesn't realize, & neither do we, is that it means more to the man than life itself.

Nap is, well really just about taking a nap, but there is so much more to this little twist on the troubles of staying asleep, especially at a certain point of the evening.
The ones who remain awake at the time specified will be killed off and those who remain sleeping will be alive in the morning. Grim bedtime tale, lol.

A priest with a twist, he only wants to challenge the toughest demons that want to possess a young woman who is in his care. One after another is brought into the room but quickly excused as they are not even close to a challenge to him and his work as an exorcist.
It's a clever little film and the work done on it makes it one of the best shorts of the year.

One of the shortest shorts, and one of the best of the year.
Bye Bye is so short anything more than that will give it away.

Just an expression from when I was younger, to what this young man thinks is truth sends him on a whirlwind of self-doubt and keeps him up at night thinking that his money actually is no good.
Quite a hilarious little misunderstanding in this short.
