The 37th Annual Vancouver Writers Fest, October 21-27th On Granville Island--Tickets On Sale September 17th

Press release from the Vancouver Writers Fest

We are excited to feature 120+ local and international authors at 88 events this Festival season. Plus, don’t miss a series of pre-festival Special Events with Liane Moriarty, Louise Erdrich, and Malcolm Gladwell; and a post-festival event featuring Daniel Levitin with Chor Leoni.

You can also download Simple Text (Word Doc) versions of the Program Guide that are accessible on a screen reader:

This year, we are delighted to be joined by Guest Curator Kim Thúy(above).
An award-winning author from Quebec, Kim is the author of Ru, Mãn, and Em. She has compiled six unique and uplifting sessions with a wide range of authors that will explore threads of identity, belonging, migration, hope—and simply brilliant writing.

The 2024 Festival will feature some challenging conversations that ask us to consider new ideas and perspectives. There will be opportunities to dive into highly anticipated new releases in crime, memoir, fantasy, and more. And, for younger audiences, we'll have engaging youth programming to inspire the next generation of authors and readers.

Physical copies of the Program Guide are being distributed now to coffee shops like JJ Bean, libraries, community centres, bookstores, and other distribution points across Metro Vancouver. Keep an eye out!
