In what could easily become a standard type of film, where the lead character has a gambling problem, Lucky pulls the audience in and you instantly feel empathy for his character. He's flawed, imperfect, and not a good or honest friend, husband, or father.
What surprised me was when I thought the film was going one way, it turned and went in a different direction. Terry Chen is such a solid actor that even if it was a formula film, being along for the ride with him would still be watchable.
Equally as good is Olivia Cheng, who plays Noel, Lucky's wife. She has a feeling that he's back gambling again, but he denies it. Conni Miu plays their daughter Grace, who also has some previous knowledge of his problem.
Here is a clip from the film below.
