Montréal (CA) - Due to overwhelming public demand, ProgStorm Festival 2025 is officially expanding to three days! Taking place on August 8, 9, and 10, 2025 at Le Ministère in Montréal, Québec, the ProgStorm Festival brings together the finest local talent, emerging stars, and internationally acclaimed acts in a celebration of progressive metal like no other.
The newly added Friday lineup kicks off the festival with three bands that embody the depth and diversity of modern progressive metal. Headlining this first evening, Ok Goodnight, one of the most promising acts in today’s progressive metal scene, crafts intricate compositions with deep emotional expression and dynamic musicianship. The keyboard-driven virtuosity of Lux Terminus delivers a breathtaking, genre-defying fusion of progressive metal, orchestral arrangements, and cinematic soundscapes. Setting the stage, Voidchaser brings an emotional, cinematic approach to the genre, blending soaring melodies, crushing riffs, and sci-fi-inspired narratives.
As previously announced, Saturday raises the stakes with a lineup packed with power and precision. Into Eternity makes their long-awaited return to Montréal as the night’s headliner, bringing their signature fusion of progressive and extreme metal. They’ll be joined by the intricate and genre-blending compositions of The Anchoret, the world premiere performance of Fleshvessel, an international collective redefining the boundaries of experimental and progressive metal, and the jaw-dropping technical brilliance of Omnivide, hailing from Moncton, New Brunswick. Opening the night is The Aphelion one of Ottawa’s finest progressive metal acts.
Sunday brings the festival to an unforgettable close, showcasing musical depth and technical mastery. Karcius, the renowned veterans of progressive rock and fusion, will headline the night with their emotionally charged and cinematic compositions. Joining them is the introspective and powerful music of The Reticent, making their Canadian debut, the intricate and deeply immersive soundscapes of From Dying Suns, the high-energy progressive metal assault of Imminent Sonic Destruction, and one of Montréal’s most unique prog acts, Ashbreather, kicking off the final night.
With the addition of Friday, ProgStorm Festival 2025 has evolved into a must-attend event for progressive metal fans. Built with no compromises, this festival is dedicated to both the fans who live and breathe prog metal and the incredible artists who bring it to life.
The ProgStorm Festival, presented by The Progspace and organized by Metal Shed Productions and collaborators, will be Canada’s first-ever festival dedicated entirely to the progressive metal genre. Scheduled for August 9th and 10th, 2025, this festival is set to showcase a diverse range of progressive metal sub-genres, from the classic sounds to the most experimental and extreme.
