Wylem  Decaille’s music documentary Jireh Gospel: Hearts in Chorus will be available online free of charge as of Thursday, December 11, on NFB platforms across Canada. An intimate and uplifting portrait of Montreal’s celebrated choir, the film offers a heartfelt glimpse behind the scenes as the singers prepare for their much-anticipated Christmas concert. Jireh Gospel is a universal reminder that when voices come together, they can transform hearts, heal the soul, and inspire joy.

Jireh Gospel: Hearts in Chorus is an inspiring portrait of the ensemble that has been uplifting audiences for more than 20 years. Through soulful performances and candid moments, the documentary reveals how gospel music transcends the stage, becoming an act of faith, memory, and healing, rooted in the richness of Afro-descendant heritage.

Wylem Decaille is a young filmmaker of Martinican descent whose work explores memory, spirituality and the strength of community. With roots in writing and literature, he crafts sensitive, poetic films where reality takes on a lyrical form. His first professional film, Jireh Gospel: Hearts in Chorus, offers an immersive and heartfelt look at faith and music as spaces of communion, resilience and shared light.




The film will also be available starting Thursday, December 11, on the Natyf TV platform and will air on that channel on Saturday, December 13, at 12:30 p.m., Sunday, December 14, at 4:30 p.m., and Sunday, December 28, at 4:30 p.m.
