The Lord of the Rings Trilogy Return to Theaters January, 2026!

Some of my favorite stories I have ever read in my life have been the story of Hobbits & the tale of a ring. My personal favorite of the tales is the one of Bilbo and how the ring came into the Baggins family. Here we have the tale of Frodo & Sam, along with a group that would develop a "Friendship" that would join as a group to help Frodo take the ring to be destroyed.

I have my own collection of Tolkien books & movies. The Hobbit novel & companion book to the animated special that was on ABC, I got back in 1978. The companion book I got that year for Christmas from my parents. The Lord of the Rings book was in my mother's massive collection of books. I have The Hobbit trilogy on Blu-ray, extended editions.     The Lord of the Rings trilogy is on DVD, also in extended editions.

This great trilogy is going to be playing across the country at Cineplex with two screenings per film.

Showing in Langley, Richmond, Vancouver, Victoria, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, plus many theaters in Ontario, including Thunder Bay, Sudbury, London, Guelph, Barrie, Vaughn, &  Burlington. Check your local listings for showtimes.

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring is celebrating its 25th Anniversary next year! I saw it in the theater when it first came out.

It will be playing on Friday Jan, 16th & Friday, Jan 23rd

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers will be playing on Sat Jan, 17th & Sat, Jan 24th

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King will be playing on Sunday, January 18th & Sunday, Jan 25th

One last exciting piece of news is the The Hunt for Gollum will begin filming next year!

Plot: Covers the time when Gandalf and Aragorn hunt Gollum after his escape from Mordor, a period detailed in Tolkien's appendices but mostly off-screen in the movies.
