Trailer & Poster Released: 4K Restoration of F. Javier Gutiérrez’s BEFORE THE FALL

Los Angeles, California (December 11, 2025) - Chroma is proud to share the trailer and poster for the 4k restoration of BEFORE THE FALL (3 DÍAS), the acclaimed apocalyptic thriller from celebrated Spanish filmmaker F. Javier Gutiérrez (The Wait, Rings). The beautifully restored film arrives on December 12, 2025 to rent or to buy on Apple TV, Prime Video, and Fandango at Home.

BEFORE THE FALL first premiered in 2008 at Berlinale, and has since earned a reputation as a cult favorite and a key early work in Spanish genre cinema. Wes Craven was such a fan of the film, he had intended to do an American remake but sadly was unable to do so before his passing.

This new 4k restoration brings new clarity and texture to the film’s gritty, sun-scorched, and character-driven vision of the end of the world.

The digital release follows a festival tour that included the sold-out world premiere of the restoration at Fantastic Fest’s 20th anniversary, a west coast premiere at Screamfest LA, and an international premiere at the Seville European Film Festival.

In the film, the world learns that an earth-shattering meteorite will collide with Earth in 72 hours. As global systems collapse and society descends into chaos, aimless drifted le plans to spend his last three days drinking and blasting records, until the arrival of a mysterious stranger forces him to confront a more immediate threat.

What begins as a fatalistic countdown to impact, shifts into a taut, genre-bending thriller as Ale races to protect his mother and his brother’s children, discovering what kind of person he’s willing to be at the end of the world. Set in an isolated town in southern Spain, BEFORE THE FALL fuses an apocalyptic science fiction and serial-killer suspense into a tense nightmare.
