The Ugly Makes It's Worldwide Blu-Ray Premiere from Unearthed Films--Available April 21st

Unearthed Films, no stranger to the bizarre and films that might have been forgotten, or for people like myself, have not previously heard of this film.

The Ugly comes to us from New Zealand in 1997, and will be coming to Blu-Ray for the first time ever. Packed with a great amount of bonus features, which will make this a not-so-ugly addition for physical media collectors like myself, who want to add it to their collection. But don't take my word for it, here's the news directly from

"The Ugly is a little beauty ...a tricky, stylish horror, turning the screws of suspense."

 David Stratton, Variety

"With its complex flashback structure and anti-naturalistic colour scheme, the film forces us to inhabit The Ugly's half-remembered, half-hallucinated world and to share in his shrink's increasing sense of disorientation."  — Nigel Floyd, Time Out
