GRAMMY Winners Suzy Bogguss and Vince Gill Join Album Tribute Dan Seals & Friends: The Last Duet Coming August 28
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 24, 2026) – The Dan Seals Estate proudly announces the addition of award-winning musicians, Suzy Bogguss and Vince Gill, on Dan Seals & Friends: The Last Duet, coming August 28 via Melody Place. Pre-Save the album HERE.
Gill will join the late Seals on his 1988 single, “They Rage On.” Written by Seals and Bob McDill, the poignant track captures the frustration of circumstances beyond our control. Amid the sadness and despair of his life, the narrator perseveres through adversity with grit.
With over 30 million albums sold, Gill has become one of the most admired musicians in the history of country music. Known for his superior voice, his 50-year career has inspired new generations of musicians across the globe. His accolades include 22 GRAMMY Awards, 18 CMA Awards, membership in the Country Music Hall of Fame, and membership in the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.
Bogguss joins Seals for a reimagined duet of his delicate ballad, “I Don’t Believe I’ll Fall in Love Again.” Written by Seals and Rafe Van Hoy, it describes the immense pain felt during heartbreak, and beautifully captures the essence of being reluctant to fall in love again - a feeling everyone relates to.
"Everything about Dan felt comfortable. Singing with him feels the same. His voice was effortless, yet emotional and his phrasing always compelling. He was a great storyteller. It was such a pleasure to know him. He was kind and funny and a really good hang. I feel lucky that I got another chance to sing with him on this beautiful song” says Bogguss.
A Platinum-certified recording artist, Bogguss has spent decades captivating audiences with her soulful storytelling through song. A 2026 Grand Ole Opry inductee and GRAMMY, ACM, and CMA winner, she’s sold millions of albums and has released hit songs like “Hey Cinderella,” “Outbound Plane,” and “Aces.”

About Suzy Bogguss
During the creative explosion that was country music in the 1990s Suzy Bogguss sold four million records with sparkling radio hits like “Outbound Plane," “Someday Soon," “Letting Go," “Drive South," and “Hey Cinderella.” But you can’t peg Suzy that easily…In the midst of her country popularity she took time off to make a duets album with the legendary Chet Atkins. In 2003 she made an album of modern swing music with Ray Benson of Asleep At The Wheel. An album of original music in 2007 landed her at number 4 on the jazz charts. Her folk music roots show through in her frequent appearances on public radio’s "A Prairie Home Companion," in the Grammy she earned for her work on Beautiful Dreamer: The Songs of Stephen Foster, and in her critically acclaimed album and book project from 2011, American Folk Songbook. In 2014 she released Lucky, a collection of songs written by Merle Haggard and interpreted through Suzy’s crystal vocals from the female point of view. Her latest offering, "Prayin’ For Sunshine," is an Americana tour de force with all songs written by Bogguss. She continues to tour the world, both on her own and with fellow country radio divas Terri Clark and Pam Tills as “Chicks With Hits” and more recently, with Kathy Mattea on their Together At Last tour. In 2025 Suzy was inducted into the Illinois Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and in January of 2026 she became the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry. So yes, you can call her a country singer if you want, but really that’s just the beginning.
About Vince Gill
One of the most popular artists in modern country music, Vince Gill is famous for his top-notch songwriting, world-class guitar playing and warm, soaring tenor, all wrapped up in a quick and easy wit. Gill achieved his big breakthrough in 1990 with “When I Call Your Name,” which won both the Country Music Association’s (CMA) Single and Song of the Year awards as well as a Grammy for Best Country Vocal Performance, Male. In total, Gill has won 18 CMA Awards, 22 Grammy Awards, and 8 Academy of Country Music Awards, and in 2025 was presented with the CMA Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award. In 1991, Gill was invited to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry, and in 2007 was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. In 2012 he was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. A gifted songwriter, Gill’s compositions earned him entry into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2005 and the prestigious BMI Icon Award in 2014. Throughout his career, he has released 21 albums, sold over 30 million albums, and charted 45 singles. In 2022, Gill was inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame. Always considering himself a musician above all else, Gill has over the years been a part of some iconic bands, including Pure Prairie League, The Notorious Cherry Bombs, and The Time Jumpers. In 2017, Gill was asked to join the Eagles on the road, and he continues to be a part of that historic band’s tour. 2025 marked the 50th anniversary of Gill leaving home to pursue a career in music. To honor that milestone, he signed a lifetime contract with his record label MCA, and is releasing an EP series of brand-new music every month for a year, titled 50 Years From Home.
About Dan Seals
Dan Seals was never one to follow convention. Born and raised in Texas, he played a right-handed, 12-string guitar with his left hand and eight strings— "upside down and backwards," as he liked to say. This unconventional approach carried through his entire career, as he seamlessly transitioned from pop stardom to country success. Seals first gained fame as "England Dan" in the pop-rock duo, England Dan & John Ford Coley. The pair’s 1976 hit "I'd Really Love to See You Tonight" cemented their place in pop history, followed by other classics, "Nights Are Forever Without You” and “Love Is The Answer." When the duo disbanded, Seals faced financial struggles as he worked for years to rebuild his career. Determined to find a new path, he embraced his country roots. In 1984, "God Must Be a Cowboy" gave him his first country top 10 hit. This paved the way for an astonishing run of eleven No. 1 Billboard country hits. Hits such as "Bop," "Everything That Glitters (Is Not Gold)," and "Meet Me in Montana," featuring Marie Osmond, showcased his ability to blend emotional depth with commercial appeal. His work earned him 2 CMA awards, multiple GRAMMY nominations, and a loyal fanbase. Seals was known for his artistic integrity, only recording songs that stirred him emotionally. His producer, Kyle Lehning, recalled how he pursued excellence with "light-hearted seriousness" in the studio. When the radio hits slowed, Seals remained a beloved touring act, later performing with his brother Jim (from Seals & Crofts) as Seals & Seals, bringing their respective catalogs to audiences worldwide. Diagnosed with mantle cell lymphoma in 2007, Seals faced his final days with the same grace he brought to his music. He passed away on March 25, 2009, at 8:30 p.m.—"Showtime," as his manager put it. Seals was posthumously inducted into the Texas Heritage Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2025. His legacy remains one of versatility, authenticity, and an enduring impact on both pop and country music. A duets album, Dan Seals & Friends: The Last Duet, featuring Seals’ vocals with a cavalcade of respected musicians, will be released on August 28.
