The Toronto After Dark Film Festival Announces Full Lineup for 2026

 Toronto After Dark's 19th edition runs Oct 14–18: 14 features, two short film showcases, and a brand-new late-night series at CineCycle.

THIS YEAR'S HIGHLIGHTS

Opening Night: WHALEFALL · Canadian Premiere

Austin Abrams (Resident Evil) and Josh Brolin (Weapons) star in Brian Duffield's survival thriller about a scuba diver swallowed whole by a sperm whale, with his oxygen running out.

Friday Is Vampire Night

Fantasia audience favourite I LOVE PARIS shares the night with RED SNOW, a Finnish holiday ho-ho-horror where one teen's vampire fantasies meet a very real, very violent undead Santa.

Ontario Premieres

Lizzy Caplan, Lucy DeVito and John Stamos star in DRAG, a heist comedy that goes wrong when one of the robbers throws out her back. Olivia Colman voices a scheming fox in the dark folktale THE FOX.

HALLOWARRIOR · Canadian Premiere

Milly Shapiro (Hereditary) defends her home from cannibals on a post-apocalyptic Halloween.

🌙 NEW: Late Nights at CineCycle

Three midnight screenings: the World Premiere of MY LOVE FOR YOU IS DEEP, BUT THE DEVIL LOVES ME DEEPER, the punk-powered superhero film MATAPANKI, and Toronto filmmaker Luca D'Andrea's 16mm debut NO LONGER HUMANS (North American Premiere).

Also on the lineup: time-loop chaos in 5 MORE MINUTES, body horror from SPECIES and SLEEP NO MORE, a cursed-melody rock horror in Canada's own TURN IT UP!, and cult sequel FROGMAN RETURNS to close things out. Every feature screens with a Canadian short, and there are two dedicated short showcases, including Fantasia Audience Award winner MAN EATING PUSSY.
